Sounds liek you are ont he right track man, another thing you can do to really get some nice textures and shapes is take cotton balls and dip them latex, the shape the in the form you want, great for making wound sand torn skin. Give it a shot man, you cna do soem relaly neat stuff with that. I use that mod alot to upgrade masks of mine.
